A dirndl *skirt*? (Meaning a basic gathered-at-the-waist straight full skirt) - you could make it into a skirt, yes. Do waist-gathers work on you? They are instant-weight-adders on me. (Or why my dirndl has a six-gore skirt).

Could you make it into the vest? No. Too slippery. Too thin. You want something with some heft for the vest. Denim is good. This is rather the opposite of denim.

Could you make this into a blouse? Yes, but I'm pretty sure if you don't like florals, the idea of a floral blouse ... it's going to go live in the back of the closet.

If it's poly silk/rayon and slippery, it would really rather be something slinky. Also, just to warn you, it's going to be a wench to work with. The fewer seams the better, and don't try to do precision cutting.

I would make it into a dress or nightgown, myself. Or robe, it would make a very pretty robe.
