Raw garlic. This is on my list of the "can't hurt, might (well) help" things one can do to fight infection.
Dice a clove or two up. Wait 20 minutes. Smush it into a slice of bread, with a tad bit of butter. Or swallow straight, perhaps with a spoonful of honey. (Oddly, honey + garlic is decent).
Repeat twice/day, preferably around a meal if you're not doing bread.
