Thursday meanderings...

Leah: Discovered a few things about her last night:
She will give you her feet - she snatches up the back feet, but she'll give 'em to you.
She will back up on command.
Cars do not faze her whatsoever. Neither do loose dogs, skateboards, and small children.
She LOVES having the spot right behind her ears scratched - to the point of almost falling over with pleasure. :grin:
I took her outside the front gate last night, to see how she'd handle being out in the world. NO Problem - in fact, my (off the wall nuts) neighbor believes she is broker than broke. Ready to ride, in fact.
Spinning: Finished up a bobbin of 2-ply Shetland. Got approx. 75 yards of bouncy, slightly rustic sport-ish weight yarn. It's nice - I've got a wrist warmer going on 36 stitches (size 3 DPNs); it's cushy, slightly firm (I want something to give me a bit of support), soft, and lovely to work with. We'll see if I put fingers on this one or not - I'm leaning towards yes, but we'll see. The yarn might be a bit bulky for that.
Tack: I need to clean out my tack trunk. There's stuff in there that I need, but have forgotten about. (I glanced in......there'sSPIDERS 8-legged Demon Spawn in there, along with my halters/bits/bridles/coolers..)Sweet Geek has the uneviable job of pulling the stuff out. :grin:
Magic: I really *really* need to get back with her. She's very green broke, but I've been concentrating on getting Leah up and going. Dusty's not getting any younger - he's 21, now (I think...it's up there) - he's still good for basic riding, but he deserves retirement. Besides, if I can get her up and going, we'll have 3 ridable horses.....:grin:
Weird stuff: I saw a *possum* at my co-worker's house this morning. Not to weird, for me - but SHE lives in the middle of a largeish suburb. TOTAL residential! :boggle:
Sears is supposed to be out today to fix the washer...I hope so, since I'll have a lot of horse stuff to wash this weekend. :lol:
Taking Ms boss to lunch today...fun stuff! At least it's Olive Garden.....
