Well, now I'm wondering if the water sprinkler system didn't freeze and break open. An hour ago a huge 66 inch water main broke along a major road here. It's about 19 degrees F in DC. A wall of fridgid water hit commuters cars, washing them far down the street. It looks like everybody is okay. Several helicopter basket rescues and swift water boat rescue teams plucked folks from their swamped freezing cars. Pretty scary.
