Everything's "off" lately. The kids are raving lunatics - I have a surly almost teen (which is worse than her normal Aspie persona) and a weepy 10 year old (over *stupid* stuff), I'm not sleeping again, which makes me snarly...the dogs are all needy......:blech:

Our weather's off, too....the light's wrong. Last night, it looked like we lived in a photo-shopped photograph......weird. I'm all twitchy......

I get the feeling something's about to.....blow. Like I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop. It's disconcerting, and today I can't ignore it. It's....Anna called it the "quiet before the storm" and that's part of it....but....

There's been odd police activity lately - 15 cops on a 10-mile stretch of road; not radar-ing, not ticketing, just *sitting*. (This was Friday). Sunday had cops sitting up and down some of our streets at home - which is NOT normal. It's odd enough that *Sweet Geek* noticed.....and I've seen a lot of military vehicles. 2 HumVs Friday, a tank of some sort yesterday, and a convoy Sunday. Again, not normal - yes, we have a Tx Nat. Guard in town, but there's usually no activity *outside* of that.

And today.....it's like I *know* something's coming, but I don't know what or when. (Oh, and today's Bible reading? Was Zechariah...Ch. 4. I never noticed it before, but the 2 Witnesses are *there*. So......:wondering:

Ha! I was just reading about the two witnesses to my husband this weekend.
The olive trees that are the fuel for the seven lamps. The seven lamps of the seven churches.
Are they the same olive trees that had branches broken off so we could be grafted in? I always though of the olive tree being our spiritual Family tree. Or are they two people?
Yesterday we were driving down to the valley - which stresses me out, the traffic, the zillion crazy people, the idea of being stuck there if we did have an earthquake. And I just thought how awful it would be to get taken out of the game so close to the end.

According to Zech 4, the 2 olive trees are "the 2 Anointed Ones, who stand by the Lord of the whole Earth".....which...sound a lot like the 2 Witnesses in Revelation to me.

And then Zech 5 talks about a "Woman"..and it mentions Bavel...which led me again to Rev.

*Why* this came up today I don't know - right now I'm following the "let the Bible fall open" approach to my readings. :grin: I hadn't read Zechariah in a long time, so this was interesting!

That is WEIRD about the cops. I can't imagine what's up!

Interesting, last week I noticed extra Nat. Guard activity. Lots of helicopters and more then the usual road traffic. I live very close to their Range so I'm used to some activity but the helicopters were REALLY unusual!

You know a couple of weeks ago, we saw about 500 tanks on a train. At first I thought ah another unit heading to the sand box. That was until it dawned on me that they we heading in the wrong direction. Asked Hubby about it and he agreed, wrong direction. The port is the other way. Now mind you I don't always notice changes because we are surrounded by military. But there have been changes at the AFBs too. My kids are driving me insane this week! And I would totally agree with the comment "quiet before the storm."
