My condolences...My sister just broke her phoen too, true it isn't an iPhone, but she is like you...she hates to be forced to change. They said they would replace the phone for $100 (the repair fee, but they can't fix it - so she will get the replacement unit instead) or she had a $75 credit toward a new phone with a 2 year contract...for $75 you get something that is akin to one of those jitterbug phones for the old folks...she wasn't gonna do that.
My ex-mother in law (the pagan) would always tell us when mercury was going retrograde because that was when all electronics piffle, and stuff would break. Now when I run in to anti-tech mode I wonder what mercury is doing...
