Let's see, my dryer died yesterday - it won't complete the cycle, it just stops. Glad I have a clothesline, AND that it's not raining!

We started "testing" the Science notebook I bought.....he's not wild about it, but he didn't complain too much. We'll see how the test scores are before I buy any more.

I had a lightbulb moment last night. I was surfing, trying to see if anyone had a Physics notebooking set. Didn't find one, but found a lady who was talking about *how* to use a notebooking set. She prints off the Table of Contents and puts them in her planning book, so that she knows at a glance what she has, and what she can use for that day/week's lessons. DUH! I was going into the files, looking at all the pages, and trying to decide what would go with the lesson....this? Makes it a snap. Especially since I have sets for History, Geography, and Bible that all inter-relate - IF you know what you have so you can use them at the appropriate times. (I printed the ToC for my maps, too, so that I can easily use *them*, too. I feel stupid that I didn't think of this before!)

In fact, it's such a good idea that I went in this morning and wrote down the names of all the paper models I have on the HD. I'll type up the list, and add the approximate dates to it, so that I can easily pull something out to use. It's still a bit of work to pull everything together - but it's better than it was. And it's the best I can do, until someone comes out with a complete set of stuff for the curriculum we're using. (Only, no one else I've run across uses paper models as "assignments" for History...most people use them as fun stuff, if they use them at all. I've got an engineering kid that LOVES building stuff - paper models work for him. Other kids, they might not.)

Gotta get back to work-work; need to finish at least 2 companies by tonight so co-worker can have them tomorrow.
