So, Calculus and Physics go pretty well together over-all. They eventually merge into more or less the same thing. Have you considered doing any of the AP classes? I'm pretty sure there's a Physics one. You'd have to find a local place for him to test, but getting those AP classes in can really help for college credit in the future, if he's interested in doing that. If he is, it might be worth considering what he wants to study in college and then start looking into what's considered groundwork courses for that program.
I entered college with about a semester's worth of credits because I did decently on the AP Literature and Composition, AP Calculus, and AP World History tests. I took AP World History my 11th grade year, so I know that you can start taking them that early.
Also, Khan Academy is great! ^_^ I've really enjoyed learning from it in my spare moments and suspect I'll use it to keep learning things once I've graduated college.
