We seemed to have acquired a new puppy. I saw a truck stop, then take off. I then saw a small-ish something running after it -we pulled up, stopped...it's an Aussie Sheepdog. Female. About 6 months old - maybe. I looked at Sweet Geek, said "Well?" He said..."Open the door and see". She *lunged* for me, was in the truck before I even said "Hey there"....:grrrrrr:

She was damp, but not muddy (so she hadn't been out there long, and hadn't wandered off - it's MUDDY out here, and had been raining about 30 minutes). Offered her water - she emptied the bowl. Ditto on the food. She's now napping at Sweet Geek's feet in the kitchen (he's fixing supper. Fajitias. Mmmmm.....)

Zoey is OK with her at the moment. Lots of sniffing, and tail wagging, and some "Come PLAY with me" lunges - but no growling (on Zoey's part, anyway ) or nips. Bailey doesn't care - he ran up, cornered her, sniffed, and wandered off.

WHY do people do that? Yes, we picked her up...but we almost didn't. We really don't *need* another dog - especially a high-energy one like an Aussie. But.....I just couldn't leave her on the side of the road, either.

In other news......we got our air compressor back - $55 to repair the valve. We ate lunch in the sukka - can't eat dinner out there, due to massive rain.

OH- HPH has updated their latest report. According to the webbots, the money system is due to collapse on or around Oct. 25. I've been saying for a few years now that the dollar is on it's way out...IF this is right, it's coming soon. Might want to make sure you have enough to survive the interim between the dollar collapse/one world currency. (Hey, if I'm wrong, no biggie - you'll have food. If I'm right.....)
