Blah de blah de blah....

Spent most of yesterday putting together a timeline book. I was gonna do the easy thing and buy one....until I actually *looked* at it. I'm sorry...$20 for a .pdf of pages with nothing but 1 line across the top, and a dated heading?? Not even.....I hit HS Launch, and found a set there that works for us. (I don't like the Charlotte Mason style - too much blank space for *me*. The ones we have have the timeline down the center of the page, with boxes for writing and boxes for pictures. It appeals to me, while the CM one doesn't. To each their own!) Himself was aghast that I'd do that - he HATES timelines - until I mentioned some of the things that all happened around the same time (Stonehenge/New Kingdom/Moses' birth all happened around 1500 BC. Seeing it all laid out REALLY makes a difference!)

We made a paper model of the (over)Hanging Gardens of Babylon Wednesday. It came out great, and Himself was just chuffed over the whole thing. For him, it's a great way to really get into History.

I was supposed to be working today...but we had a math crises. Percentages are HARD, it seems. :grin: Plus, the doc screwed up and Herself's been out of meds for...2 days now. LONG days. :sigh: I am going to have to make a run to the doctor to pick up the prescription that was SUPPOSED to be mailed to me on Saturday. :bangs head:
