she got Himself a *skateboard*. Um. We live on a gravel road, and have a gravel driveway. You can't.....never mind. It's the thought that counts, right? Right. He was a trooper, and VERY polite. This is good!

Herself and I had a nice talk on the way home. She agreed that retail probably wasn't for her, but she's not sure WHAT she wants to do to earn money. I told her, once she figured it out, I'd help her in any way I could to achieve it; I also offered her some ideas. Working behind the scenes at the zoo, maybe, or in a vet's office (cleaning cages, walking the dogs - that sort of stuff). Maybe doing computer graphics stuff - anything that has NO contact with the public (Aspie. She CAN'T do social stuff. I'm trying, but.......nothing's sticking.) She said McDonald's. I almost went off the road - that would NOT work for very long. She doesn't take criticism well.....or confrontation. THAT would never work.....

Gotta go get the house ready for Shabbat. See ya on the flip side!

If you have an iOS device (Apple operating system), there's a book catalogue app called "Book Crawler". $1.99; you can scan in the UPC codes or enter the books manually. You then have a list you can take with you, to make sure you don't re-buy a book (or many books.)

It took me about 20 minutes to set up 16 books. I know what I'll be doing for a while! (you can also track ebooks....but I need to figure that out. For now, I scan!)
