:ugh: am sick......

been fighting a sore throat and coughing since Wednesday evening. Thanksgiving went well - the bird was good and tasty, the sides were yummy, and we had enough desserts to send everyone into a sugar-coma. :heh:

Friday we made an Ikea run. Yes, Ikea is the soul-sucking 9th circle of Hell, but......they have decent cabinets at really affordable prices. We got the insurance claim breakdown Tuesday, and the flooring quote Wednesday. :sigh: After a bit of back-and-forth, we (SG and I) decided that spending more on the floors was a better idea; floors take more abuse than cabinets do. Plus, the claim is only for the bottom cabinets....by going Ikea we can do ALL the cabinets, the countertops, AND some new appliances...and still come in under budget. Plus we need to replace the kids' bathroom vanity, too - and Ikea has something for that, as well. Oh - AND the double basin farmhouse apron sink I have wanted for years. :lol: We'll see how it goes - we have set up the space in Ikea's kitchen planner, and I have a tentative shopping list, but we want to get an "official" planner out to make sure I didn't screw up anywhere.

I need to go lay down - laters!
