fiberaddictAll bow to my bartering skills - I just scored my father an almost new electric wheelchair for 3 hours of computer work. A $3K chair for listing 2 other wheelchairs on eBay...and the 1st one sold within 30 minutes!
Now of course, I have to find him an electric lift to haul said chair with...it won't do him any good if he can't get it *to* places. :sigh: The cheapest one I have found so far is $340...ah, well, if I don't find a cheaper one before the IRS refund, I guess I'll just have to buy him a new one.
Craigslist doesn't have any for less...haven't hit Freecycle yet, but I kinda doubt they'll have any. :sigh:
Ah, well - the first hurdle's passed, now we just have to make the 2nd one.
