At work for the moment - we're off, yes, but we have contract work that *has* to be done, so...here we are.

Eye is OK - dry, but not hurting. :whew: Wrist......yeah. Glad the MRI is today, much as I hate 'em.

Got 11 eggs last night - not bad, seein's how it never got above 40* yesterday. It's 24* now....:brrrrrrrr: According to Yahoo weather (LOVE my iPhone, I really do!) it's going to hit 35* today, then 58* and rain tomorrow. We'll see....

Fatality wreck this AM going in. :sigh: Bad time of year for it.....looks like the guy rolled his truck - going UP the on-ramp. :shakes head: The ME hadn't arrived when we were driving by....

Ugh. Better go get the stuff done so I can leave. I have a lunch date, then the MRI. :chop chop:

How does one do this without it being on purpose?

Dazed and confused.

According to the news report, it was a lady, her daughter, and 2 grandkids. There is an auto parts store right opposite the on ramp; they left their water sprinklers on...in 24* weather. The truck hit the ice, she lost control...and rolled it in the grassy median. The driver ended up on the freeway; the kid/grandkids were pretty much OK.

Scary stuff....I'm wondering how fast she was going.....

Well, now I'm wondering if the water sprinkler system didn't freeze and break open.
An hour ago a huge 66 inch water main broke along a major road here. It's about 19 degrees F in DC. A wall of fridgid water hit commuters cars, washing them far down the street. It looks like everybody is okay. Several helicopter basket rescues and swift water boat rescue teams plucked folks from their swamped freezing cars.
Pretty scary.
