Have I ever mentioned...

how BUSY we are on the weekends? No? Well..have a look:
Saturday, it was overcast, very wet, and humid. Too much so to work outside. So, after breakfast we cleaned the family room (and by cleaned, I mean Marine-approved clean. Moved the furniture, swept and mopped and scrubbed the floor, then put everything back. And vaccuumed. And threw away a TON of stuffs.) Himself and I tidied the Front/Game room - it still needs work, but it's a LOT better than it was. We then hit Wallyworld for groceries (remember, we live out in the boonies....21 miles away from the nearest Wallyworld. We didn't go to the nearest one....3 hours later, we were back home)....then after lunch headed out AGAIN to rent a pump to drain the pool.
Oh, yeah, the pool - the liner keeps developing pinhole leaks. We are tired of paying $65 everytime the guy comes out to patch 'em...so we bought a new liner (heavier gauge). *I* was under the undstanding that the pool company would drain it and replace the liner....no, they contract it out, but still - THEY'd drain the pool. Only, that's not so...they wanted an extra $150 to drain it...Home Depot (NOT the local one..the one 40 miles away) wanted $30 to rent a pump overnight. Yeah...we got the pump and drained it ourselves. (They'll be out tomorrow to replace the liner)
After *that*, we all kinda crashed..I tidied the kitchen (but not well enough...) and did 2 loads of laundry and 1 load of dishes; the kids worked with the down RIR (the Buff Orp? She's broody....I'm almost ready to give her some fertilized eggs...but not quite. Don't need any chicks!) and Sweet Geek worked on his website.
Today, I got to get up and monitor the pump (it wasn't quite done last night) while everybody else Marine-cleaned the kitchen/dining area. I started some more seeds while watching....the pump did it's thing, and I got to enjoy the sun a bit. We did a little yardwork (filled in some holes and mowed next to the house), then headed out to return the pump. That was a 3 hour trip...we got home, I used the Kubota to add horse poop to the garden plot, mowed the front yard again and the kids spread the manure and the dirt around. Sweet Geek planted a few more plants (still have TONS to go..:sigh:), I fed the horses, and then I went in and did our books (we use QuickBooks to keep track of our expenses - that way, we can see where we're bleeding money and do something to fix it). Have another load in both the dishwasher and the clothes washer, and need to do dinner...but I'm pooped! I need a vacation from my weekend!
