It was 82* at 5:45 this morning...
Jun. 29th, 2009 07:28 amand it's just going to get hotter. :sigh: This is NOT normal for this time of year - it should be in the low 90*s, yes, but NOT at 7 AM!
My wrist hurts - I guess 2 hours of goofing around with the violin isn't good for it. Need to try and keep it at an hour or less, I guess...until I get some strength back in it. I'm hoping one or both of the kids will get interested - our school district does NOT have an orchestra...pity. I need to see what I can do to change that. :evil grin:
I have cuts and scrapes and bruises all over...not sure where *some* of the bruises came from; the rest came from hauling the lumber/tin around yesterday. If I have the energy, I'll try to start the hole for the last corner of the new coop tonight...all bets are off, though.
Not much else going on....

Date: 2009-06-29 02:23 pm (UTC)Fencing is right up there with pulling windmills, and going to the dentist. It's really not my most favorite thing to do in the world.

Date: 2009-06-29 02:27 pm (UTC)Mine either, which is why I paid to have the 2 paddocks redone last year. I'd rather have dental work done without novacaine instead of re-running fence wire!
I love my PTO-driven auger; unfortunately we can't get the tractor in the chicken run. :sigh: I get to start the hole by hand....:blech: Do they REALLY need a new coop? (yes....)

Date: 2009-06-29 02:50 pm (UTC)These are just random post out in the fence lines, one every 300 ft or so, in a 350 acre pasture, so it'd be hard to let the person know just where the broken post are, since we have 12 pastures, not all of them are 350 acres, a few are smaller, like 80 to 140 acres.
That and we have to replace the corner post in the small corral, something chased the 7 head of dry cows through the barb wire gate, and they hit it with such a force that it broke the corner post, which is the width of a telephone post. Not sure what scared them, a mountain lion or they said that a Bear had been spotted near our little town.
