fiberaddictI love my husband, OK? I really do. He's funny, he's sweet, he's helpful, he wants to run the house like a Marine Base (I'll pause while all y'all that know me IRL catch your breath. I know, that's hysterical...but breathe, damn it! You're gonna bust a gut if you keep laughing like that!).....but that...well, let me tell you about last night.
Himself unloaded the dishwasher, and Herself had reloaded it. We finished milking/dinner, and I managed to cram in the last few dishes before running to give the kids their DS's. SG decided to help, so he cleaned up the sink, and put the liquid dish soap in the dispenser.
Please note the above. Liquid Dish Soap. NOT dish detergent.
Have you ever made this mistake? I have...once. It was enough to make me be double-cautious with what I put in the dishwasher.
Why?
Because when you "do your hands while you do the dishes" in a dishwasher, you get bubbles. LOTS of bubbles. So many bubbles that they don't get rinsed away.
So, when you open the dishwasher the next morning to grab the milking stuff, you notice bubbles ALL over the bottom rack.
Being "smart", you press the "rinse only" button, then head out the door to milk the goats. Upon returning, you'll discover that the problem is worse than you thought....instead of rinsing the dishes, there was enough soap left that you now have a small pile of bubbles under the dishwasher door.
When you decide to just run the damn thing again......you get LOTS of bubbles. SO many bubbles that 4 towels are needed in the first 15 minutes of the cycle to clean it up.
It's SO funny - I have bubbles all over the floor. By the time this gets cleaned up, I'll have the cleanest kitchen floor in - at least - the Tri-State area.
