Got a late start today - had to go get Dog Food this AM. Didn't want to wait - the weather looked very British - so we went after dropping Herself off. Didn't get home until 10....and yet, Himself finished his assignments by 11:45.

We did 2 Science Experiments (1 dealing with density, the other with atomic movement), then he did his Hebrew and Violin. I skimped on the violin - my wrist is all wonky, so I can't demo it correctly. Still - he has he basic idea down, he just needs to practice.

Spring Break is next week, and the kids will be at Granny's. I volunteered to work all day Monday - Cyn is SWAMPED. No work is getting done - which I was afraid of. It's tax season.....and the kids will be gone. Might as well show some good will, right?

Not much else going on right now....

I suppose it might be too soon to ask, but is your son enjoying being home schooled? The way it sounds, you have more challenging studies for him, which I think is a great idea.

Right now, he's LOVING it. He freaked a bit, about the 9th grade Science he's doing, but then got so into the book that it was funny.

He *needs* to be challenged - and public school wasn't. We just did an assessment for math (I want to get "real" curriculum for it, instead of just workbooks) and...it looks like he's not at the right level there (Singapore Math - they have free assessment tests. I printed off 5A (first half of 5th grade) and 5B...and he could only do the first 10 questions of 5A. :sigh:) I ordered Singapore's 5A and B, and 6A and B, just to get started - next paycheck I'll go ahead and get the next few years, so we're ready.

*I'm* learning a lot, too!

the Khan Acedemy (www.khanacademy.org) will let him play with math all the way up to statistics and chemistry. With videos to explain everything.
I only got to Algebra II in high school, but I think I will learn trig now...why not?
