so have a couple more photos. Because...seriously, I have NOTHING.

Remember the socks I've been nattering on about? The ones that I had to rip the 2nd one back to the ribbing because of a dropped stitch? Well.....after a short time-out, I finished them:

Sock finished

This is the pair. LOVE the color - it's Paca Socks HT in "Deep Seas". WONDERFUL yarn - it knits up nicely and quickly, and feels nice and cushy.

Sock closeup

Closeup so you can see the pattern. (The top photo is closer to the correct color - the flash washed this one out.) It's "Monkey" by Cookie A., from a 2006 issue of Knitty. It's an easy pattern, and easily memorized. Works up pretty quickly, and the results are...well, I think they're worth it.

I need to start another pair of socks for SG - I'm almost done with the pair I started over the summer. I......he likes plain socks. Nothing but knitting, round and round AND round...and it gets boring. I think I'm going to try to sneak in some sort of pattern this time...

Sorry things are so....boring lately. I just....I got nothing. It's like I'm in a dead-zone right now. Time is speeding ahead, and I'm frantically trying to just keep my head above water. Not sure what's going on.....but I don't like it. There's nothing I can do about it, though....:sigh:

Lovely socks. I haven't tried the Monkey pattern but I hear lots of good things about it. I empathize about the plain socks, my husband let me go wild once and knit him a pair of dark grey socks with 2x2 ribbing, otherwise it's black, plain 1x1 thank you. ugh!
