The Sewing is Strong with this one....
Jun. 3rd, 2016 07:21 amor so it feels. I've been busy this week! Not only did I finish Herself's dress, I also managed to make an apron:

(Which didn't turn out as nice as I wanted - the photo in the book was awesome, and I HAD to make it. This...well, it works. I'm over it.)
a cushion for my sewing chair:

(it replaced the PINK one that came with the machine.)(Also, please, PLEASE excuse the state of my floors. It's been raining a bit here - perhaps you've heard?- and I simply can't keep up.)
a set of cushions for my rocking chair:

(I like the fabric as a cushion much better than as an apron!)
and a set of cushions for the kitchen table:

I did something different on these; instead of ties I made tabs - right now they have bits of kindling holding them on the chairs. As soon as I can, I'll pick up a nice dowel rod and cut "pretty" bits - but this works for now.
I still need to make 4 cushions for the dining room, then it's on to jeans and sleeveless tops for me. And another dress for Herself (Iron Man themed, this time).
Oh! We ran to JoAnn's again yesterday.....I spent $58, but SAVED $173. I'm telling you - Butterick patterns for $1.99 are a FANTASTIC deal. Also right now, Simplicity patterns are 5 for $5 - I didn't take advantage of that one, because 9 Butterick patterns were enough.
Hope you all have a great (and DRY!) Shabbat!
