Better/Worse Update

let's see....let's get the bad over with first, 'K?
1. MIL has been formally diagnosed with End Stage Renal Failure. TL/DR = her kidneys have quit and are trying to leave the building. This means dialysis is a must for the rest of her life; she has said that she does NOT want permanent dialysis. So.....FIL has the duty of trying to convince her to change her mind. I pointed out to both of them that it won't cost them a penny - dialysis is the only medical procedure that is covered 100% by Medicare, even if you don't qualify for Medicare otherwise. (Thank you, FDR!)
Good news:
1. FIL is OFF the O2 (as of yesterday AM!).
2. FIL is going HOME Saturday!!
3. MIL will be going to the rehab/nursing center as soon as a dialysis spot can be found for her!!! The nurse thinks Thursday/Friday. :fingers crossed:
So. Progress is being made. I am concerned about MIL, of course, but....I can't do anything to change her mind. SIL and FIL are going to try....as is Herself. (Who is a basket-case, but hanging in there.)
The kids'll be staying with FIL for a week or two. If/when MIL comes home, they'll go back for another week or two. I'm glad we homeschool year 'round - I can "give up" a month of so without actually falling behind. And....this is honestly more important than school.
*I* need to plan some sewing while they are gone. I'll be able to Stay Home for a few days at a time! and :zzzzzzzzzzzzz:
