2014 - 2022
We adopted him 11/5/14, and he was my heart-hound. About 7 months ago, we took him to the vet because he had hurt his back. The x-rays showed some white spots on his spine, but we weren't too concerned as he recovered quickly.
Last Wednesday evening, he started breathing "funny". I thought he'd reinsured himself, so I gave him a gabapentin, and watched him. Thursday, he was fine, but a little swollen. Friday evening, he quit eating, and his throat and jowl was horribly swollen.
The husband took him to the vet this AM (I couldn't - my best friend/other mother is in the hospital and needs someone there to advocate for her. :sob:).......it was lymphoma, among other things.
Since his kidneys had decided to start shutting down, and dialysis isn't really.....an option, I had to make the decision.
This is not a good first quarter.
