Whew...

I've spent the last few hours updating the webpage. I *think* I've fixed all the broken links.......let me know so I can fix it.

My dear, sweet, talented friend did a bang up job with my rough sketches, yes? I now have buttons and banners and they are *exactly* what I had in mind when I drew them up! I have just enough .html knowledge to update my own pages, but I couldn't figure out how to turn pen and paper sketches into .jpg images. (The fact that I have no scanner might have played a part in this...) Madame Torchie is a whiz at this stuff - and her jewelry is awesome! Seriously, go visit her site and send her some love, OK?

My brother installed a gallery to my pages, too - but I can't wrap my brain around it right now. I uploaded the blue shetland yarn but haven't done anything else with it. I need to figure out the whys and wherefores of it - I *think* it's to add to my LJ picture album...but am brain-dead right now. Must recover from 3 hours of writing .html. *g*

I'm tired...but my webpage looks better now, I think. Whee!

Pictures..

are updated on the website!

They're all on the weaving page.

I also did some rearranging on the other pages, added text, added pics to link on the spinning page......just housecleaning-type stuff.

Enjoy!!

Yes, I have updated the webpage!!! There's new stuff on the Yarn page, the Weaving page and the Knitting page.

Kae, there's some pics of the blanket from hell (AKA the pink McTasteless plaid) on the weaving page. This warp is ancient (like 20 year old!!) acrylic stuff that keeps breaking at the selvedges. I've lost probably an inch overall due to breakage....I'm gonna have to get some binding and sew it up to make this think look halfway decent (if pink can, in fact, look decent! *g*)

There's also a current picture of my yarn stash on the weaving page........all I can say is that yarn breeds. I know I didn't *buy* that much yarn.......

And, just for your amusement...a sketch or two of what will be painted on my laundry room wall. *g*

Well, I've been busy today! Uploaded more pictures to the website - feel free to go wander around!

Updated pages:

the dog house Yeah, I added more of the Zoey-monster. Someone take my camera away!

the sock machine page Finally - pictures of that elusive beast!

the weaving studio A glimpse inside my very messy studio

the construction diary Finally got a decent shot of my front door!

the knitting page Took the time to get pictures of most of the stuff I've knit.....still need to find the rest, though.

I'm going to try to knit after lunch - I'm almost at the point I need to start the sleeves. We'll see if I succeed...the web is calling me....

OK, so I'm still bored at work. We have *nothing* to do, and won't be getting anything until next week, if then. Owner refuses to let us go home, so......I've been playing webmaster. Got quite a few pictures uploaded (with still more to come - I just need to actually *take* the pictures) and added some things.

So, for those who are interested, bored, or just like to click on links to peep into other peoples lives *g*, here ya go:

I added some things to the quilts page, the dogs page, the personal page, and to the construction diary page.

Warning: for those of you who haven't visited my pages before, they are pretty picture intensive, *especially* the construction diary page. If you've never had a house built, *read* that. If you're thinking of building a house (or thinking about thinking of building) READ it....there's a lot there you need to know before signing on the dotted line. If you're having a house built, God Love you! You're in for a lot.......

I'm sure this won't be the last post of the day......I knit too much yesterday and now my left wrist is nicely swollen. Glad we go back to the doc on Monday....at least the intarsia part is *done*! The rest should go fairly quickly (once I can hold the needles again!)

Whee! I spent some time this morning updating my webpage - I added some pictures, re-worded some things, and even added a new page.

A lot of people had asked me about the Zoeymonster and our other canine family members....so I figured it was about time they had their own page on the WWW. *g*

For a straight link, go here

The pics are a bit old, though - they were taken in April when Zoey had just arrived. She's grown...a lot....since then.

I also found a link to the bestest site in Texas!!! The Elissa has found a port on the WWW - here (OK, so she's been there for a while, but I just discovered her website yesterday). If you have any interest in maritime history, any love of sailing or naval lore, you have *got* to visit her when you are in Texas. Seriously - she is absolutely awesome. (For those not "in the know", the Elissa is an 1877 iron barque that has been restored to *sea-worthiness*. It's an on-going restoration, but you can visit her and even board her when she's in port. Her sea-trials are usually held in March, and she's usually in port the rest of the time waiting for visitors.)

She is totally alive - it's cool. She's not a reproduction, she's the real thing - her hull is almost all original, as are some of the fittings. If you remember the Statue of Liberty's 100 b-day, the Elissa was there - it was the first time Elissa had seen her; the last time she was in New York was 5 years before Lady Liberty arrived. That puts things in perspective, huh?

I have to laugh - the first time I visited her (in the early '90s), I went down to the captain's quarters...and lost it. I had read *way* too many bodice-rippers involving pirate captains chasing innocent heroines around his ship's cabin.....yeah, right. There's maybe 5 square feet of open space to be chased in. *g*. Guess the author's haven't actually visited a real tallship, huh?

Anyway, if you plan on being in Texas, please consider adding a visit to Galveston Island to your itinerary. She's in Pier 21 (I think; I *know* where she is, but not the pier number) and is a great stop for kids, too.

I need to work more on the sweater, so that's it for now...more later though - I'm bored!

Whee! I got the frames a little smaller, and added a button! Now, to figure out how to move the button to the side........I'm currently stumped. Don't know where my html books are..guess I'll have to just keep playing with it.

But, at least I got this much figured out!!

I'm so proud of myself - I have managed to embed this journal into my webpage. OK, so yeah, the frame is too big, and I can't figure out how to add the nifty link buttons, but hey - it's on my webpage!

Maybe there's someone out there that reads my meanderings that is websavvy and can offer some advice? I'm clueless here....

Whee! Surgery's over, I'm at the office (we have A/C today).....whee!

Good news - my website is back up and running. Had to change the name a wee bit - my brother had set it up for me originally, but couldn't remember the password to transfer the original domain to the new host. So, we added a "-" and are back in business.

I need to revamp the index page - the quilting pages are uploaded, but there's no link yet (I forgot) and there's a few other little things I want to do, but it's back up and live! Not bad for someone still high on anesthetic!

Off to nap a bit before lunch...yes, I'm at work. No, I'm not working. I needed to be here to answer the phones, since I'll be off on Monday. 4 day weekends are a no-no here......soooooooo, here I am. I need the money.
