fiberaddictand my chili WON BEST OVERALL at the cook-off today. To say that I am chuffed just doesn't quite cover it!
I am done with the squares on the sock, and have 3 1/2 squares to do before starting the ribbing. I knit after lunch, while waiting for the desert auction to begin......
Yes, I bid. Why not? This is the ONLY fundraiser our youth group has each year, so it goes for a good cause. I won a sugar-free chocolate pudding pie, a sugar-free tub of banana pudding (it's going to my co-worker's husband - he's about to start dialysis, and is a bit squicked about it...so I thought this would make him feel better.)....and I won the Black Forest Trifle again. I grinned, then put it back on the block. I'm not crazy - I know my resistance is gone with that, and I really don't want to gain back all the weight I've lost. All in all, Ispent donated $95.
Not sure how much the youth made...we left before the auction was over, but if I calculated correctly, they had already cleared over $1,000.
I didn't get to work on the sock last night - Himself HAD to start on his Mars Rover, and I had to help him. He's busy with it now...so I will grab the sock and sit with him a bit.
