Did you know...
May. 2nd, 2006 12:44 pmthat you can't run an appliance that needs 115v on 110v? Well - you *can*, but it'll make strange noises and generally just not work right. At least nothing blew up or caught fire.
So...now I wait for an electrician to call me back.
I didn't even know there were things that ran on other than 110 or 220. Huh. Learn something new every day.
I just want to use the pool!

Date: 2006-05-02 06:56 pm (UTC)The pump started right up, with 0 psi, and sounded a bit "funny". Not like the 1/2 HP pump on the ez-up pool sounded like (this is a 1 HP sand filter).
I need to check the voltage on the chlorine generator, too, to make sure we'll be good to go. (Then that's it on pool expenses except for electricity! Yea! for no chlorine tablets or chemicals!)
Ah, well - the joys of home ownership!
Ummm...ya'll *are* going to come out in June for Herself's birthday/pool warming party, yes? (6/17)
