Vacation Photos....
Jun. 21st, 2008 07:21 pmI promised you photos, and photos I have. I slapped together a webpage for them - please excuse any stupid spelling errors or coding errors. I did this each evening; I was tired, and there was nothing else to do (no cell phones/internet/TV out in Terlingua!)
The link is here. There are a lot of photos, so be warned.
The trip was great....Big Bend was hot, but we did see some rain our last evening there - in fact, it knocked out the power for 3 hours. Not a big deal...except that it was 105* when the power went *off*....it didn't take long for the cabin to heat up to almost unbearable tempratures.
I'm almost to the toe decreases on sock #1. Would have gotten more done...but I was too tired each evening to even think about knitting.....and I couldn't knit while hiking. (Too rough of terrain....it would not have been fun to fall while hiking 900' ABOVE the road, just because I needed to knit one more round....)
The Motel 6 in Webster sucks....big time. We won't be using them again....NASA was fun, as usual, as was our surprise stop in Galveston.
Got home to bad news, though...co-worker's husband has been in the hospital for 2 weeks. They are sending him home this week....because he's terminal and only has 3 or 4 days. :sigh:
