and I'm not gonna even *think* about the electric co-op today! I've got other things to do..like edit chicken pictures for the forum I'm on.

The baby bunnies are no more......apparantly one of the stray dogs found them. :sigh: I need to get more BBs.....:sigh:

Got a quote on a water well. Am taking it under advisement....trying to decide if I really *need* a well (.....I *know* I will in a year or 2, the way things are going. But..I have a pond and a creek. :ponder:) or if I should concentrate on wind/solar power first (much more $$ in initial set-up. No more co-op, though....)

Lots to think about this morning.....

I would go with the solar power first.

Well....see, the well is only $6K. To do solar panels on my house, it would (at least, 2 years ago) run approx. $40K. BIG difference in price/payments. I haven't looked into wind power yet....that's on the list (I can't see that it would run quite as much as solar..but who knows. We get a LOT of straight-line winds out here...it's usually gusting up to 30 mph, so wind is a feasible choice. Solar is just....more common).

Wish I'd win the lottery...then I could do all 3!

the biggest cost of a solar system is the batteries. wind you would still need batteries.
