Something funny happened...

at the JP's office. See, *I* thought there was this law: Separation of chruch and State. Sweet Geek thought so, too....but, apparantly, the JP hasn't *heard* of this. :snicker: We made our vows in God's name, we had a prayer, and ta-da! We were Mr. and Mrs. Geek! :lol:

Oh, and after the JP took photos for us, he shook our hands, then told us to be sure to vote for him in 2 years. :rotflmao:

John and I were also married by a JP, but no prayer business and no mention of that there Christian god. Just the way we wanted it! Probably has a lot to do with our liberal blue state ways *snicker*

So does that mean that if your JP marries a pair of atheists, they're not really married? Hmm.

Congratulations on your union!! How exciting to bond officially before Yah. But can I ask you why you invited the government to be a part of it? Was it the insurance issues, or something else?
