fiberaddictfound out last night that Himself has been to the office 4 times in the past 7 school days. AND he was supposed to go to Saturday school last week to make up the stuff he missed because he was expelled - we found this out when I cleaned out his backpack last night. "Oh." he said. "I...forgot that those were in there." :bangs head:
The worst thing? He doesn't want to learn things any more. This is the kid that LOVES learning, and adapting things to other things. The fact that he doesn't *care* about learning....greatly disturbs me. I turn in my notice Monday......I might just be unemployed before the 15th. Whatever - I gotta do something, or he's gonna let his mind go to waste.
I did see a spark last night - Nova Science Now was on, about things to help humans live longer. The whole bit about avatars caught his attention.....and he asked about MIT, and the courses I found online, and if they had any computer courses up. :heh: I told him I didn't know, and that he wasn't ready for MIT-level stuff yet - he was gonna have to buckle down and get up to speed. He was all for that - so I have hope. (And I freely confess I am scared WITLESS about this! I don't know that I can keep up with him......but I'll do my best.)
Kenzie is being crate-trained. I hate it - I know it works, and it's humane, blah blah blah, but I've never had to do it before - I've never had a dog that would fit in the largest crate. :lol: She got us up at 1:00 this morning, went outside to do her business, then went back in the crate without too much fuss. I hope this works!
Off at noon today, so I gotta get cracking. Bills are due Monday....so is contract stuff. Wanna get a jump on them....
