Someone got ahold of my debit card number, and had fun trying to buy stuff. Zappos was $222.99 - my bank authorized it (idiots!), but Zappos flagged it. (They were very nice!) IMdB hit me with $1 - and no one answers their phone, you have to email them. :sigh:

At least I monitor my account daily! :grrrrr:

did Zappos have a record of the shipping adress the people tried to use? That could be fun

I don't understand why they don't charge the person with attempted fraud. If they did it to you they will do it to someone else.

Someone in Texas charged up $225 at a Walmart there just before Christmas... with Brian's card. Luckily they returned the $$ to us, but it was a bad week without Brian's card (I gave him mine to use, since I never leave the house).

Seems this is happening more and more often. I say they persecute, too - it's theft. That's a crime. Make them pay back the store AND pay the same amount to the gov't. Might make 'em think twice about stealing.
