We were coming home from breakfast, and SG asked me "How do we knw that there will be a 3rd Temple?". That got me thinking: in the NT, we are told that our bodies are temples for the Holy Spirit, right? So....what IF John wasn't referring to a brick and mortar building in Rev.?

I've heard the term "sacrifice of Praise"....what IF this is what John meant when he said the A/C stops the sacrifices? I need to do some reading....but this is food for thought.

And....why does everybody assume that the Wedding Feast is after the Rapture, but before New Jerusalem comes doWn, arrayed like a Bride? I thought the Feast came AFTER the ceremony......not before.

Gotta run, but wanted input on this. It sparked an interesting conversation, that's for sure!

What I have heard about Biblical Jewish marriage traditions is that the wedding starts with the bride being carried off by the groom and his buddies. They go to his house and the party commences, and goes for a week or so. At some point during the party, the bride and groom wander off to consummate the marriage, and come back as man and wife.

I've heard some debate about a Third Temple - including that the site that the Jewish folks *think* was the proper site isn't quite, and that therefore it would be possible to erect a Third Temple without disturbing the Dome of the Rock. The question, for me, is not just the sacrifice, it's the second abomination of desolation which is so obvious and externally discernable that residents of Jerusalem will know to get out of Dodge immediately. I know that the Temple Institute is ready to go at any moment... I dunno, I think this all ties in with the prophecy that the second coming can't come until the Jews mourn for Jesus as a firstborn son. SOME of them, at any rate, are going to have the veil lifted from their eyes - how that plays out exactly I don't know.

My muslim friend tells me the Dome of the Rock is not the temple site. There is another mosque towards the south end of the temple area that is supposed to be on the spot. The Jewish folks are busy excavating under that part of the mount also.
I have talked about this with some friend, and I thought I mentioned it a while back that there is a muslim scholar that believes the "Holy of Holies"
Is now a believers heart because we are the third temple.

of course the jewish ladies Anna posted about a few days ago said that the new jerusalem is currently on a downward elevator from the seventh heaven and all people need to do to be considered the ones who built it is to set the door in place in the gate - and the gates are already built.
They currently have seven gates which are open and being used and four gates which are sealed - the one we care about is the Golden Gate - sealed in 1541 - which people belive the Messiah will enter through

The Temple: I don't believe there'll be a physical third temple until the Millennial reign. But then, I don't believe the passage you're referring to is speaking of a physical third temple. Nor do I believe 'sacrifice' has anything to do with killing bulls/goats.

The Bride: We're the bride, not the new Jerusalem.
